26 New UNESCO World Heritage Sites 2025: Visit Before Crowds
The mainstage lights up at midnight on December 11, 2026 — and for the first time, it won’t be in Belgium.
Tomorrowland has been building its staging in Belgium’s De Schorre park since 2005. Brasil happened in 2015. The pandemic gave us Around the World. But a full-scale permanent Asian edition? That’s December 11–13, 2026, in Pattaya, Thailand. This is the one festival on the 2026 global calendar that you genuinely can’t catch next year at the same scale — because for Asia, there is no next year yet. There’s just this one.
If you’re considering it, here’s everything you need to plan it.
Quick Facts: Tomorrowland Thailand 2026
Aspect Details Dates December 11–13, 2026 (Friday–Sunday) Venue Wisdom Valley, Pattaya (Khao Mai Kaew, Chonburi) Site Size 560 acres, 6 stages Daily Capacity 50,000 attendees per day Theme CONSCIENCIA Ticket Range ~$150 (day pass) to ~$590 (3-day VIP) Total Budget (from US) $2,500–$5,000 all-in Planning Lead Time Act now — general sale opened March 7, 2026 In one sentence: The first full-scale Asian Tomorrowland is a December festival in Pattaya with 6 stages, 50,000 daily attendees, and confirmed ticket sales already live.
Tomorrowland’s 20th anniversary edition in Belgium was already big — but the Thailand announcement changes the calculus for anyone in Asia or planning a Southeast Asia trip. This isn’t a downsized “global experience” like the pandemic livestream editions. The Tourism Authority of Thailand is projecting 1.426 billion Baht in direct visitor spend, which means infrastructure, logistics, and promotion to match.
Six stages. Including CORE and FREEDOM — two stages that Tomorrowland Belgium doesn’t always run simultaneously, and which are getting their first Asian outing here.
The 2026 theme, CONSCIENCIA, is the same concept Tomorrowland is using across Belgium and Thailand this year: a “mysterious dimension where six primal emotions have merged” as the design framework for the mainstage. It’s abstract, but what it means in practice is that both editions are producing the same visual universe. Go to Pattaya, and you’re seeing the same mainstage concept as Boom.
Wisdom Valley sits in Khao Mai Kaew, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province — about 30 minutes from central Pattaya and 90 minutes from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport. This is not a camping festival: Tomorrowland Thailand has no DreamVille. The Belgian DreamVille camping village, with its themed neighborhoods and multi-day immersion, doesn’t make the trip. What replaces it is a hotel package system with daily shuttle transport to the site.
That distinction matters for your planning. Without camping, the social energy concentrates at the venue itself (and at whatever hotel block the crowd is staying in). The festival becomes a daily commute rather than a continuous immersion. Some people prefer this — a real bed and real air conditioning in December Thailand is not a bad trade.
The festival runs Friday through Sunday in the middle of Thailand’s dry season. December in Pattaya averages highs around 30°C (86°F) with low humidity and minimal rain. Crowd temperatures inside the venue will be another story, but the weather baseline is favorable.
General sale opened March 7, 2026. Four ticket types:
| Ticket | Price (USD approx.) |
|---|---|
| Day Pass (GA, 1 day) | ~$150 (5,100 THB) |
| Day Comfort Pass (VIP, 1 day) | ~$240 (8,200 THB) |
| Full Madness Pass (GA, 3 days) | ~$365 (12,500 THB) |
| Full Madness Comfort Pass (VIP, 3 days) | ~$590 (20,200 THB) |
All prices include VAT and service fees. Buy only through thailand.tomorrowland.com — the resale market for this debut edition will attract scams.
The most direct routing from the US: fly into Bangkok Suvarnabhumi (BKK), not Don Mueang. Suvarnabhumi is closer to Pattaya and has better highway access to the venue.
Bangkok to Wisdom Valley options:
Pattaya is worth considering as your base. At 30 minutes from the venue versus 90 minutes from Bangkok, it cuts transport time significantly on festival days.
| Item | Budget Range |
|---|---|
| Round-trip flights (US–Bangkok) | $800–$1,800 |
| Full Madness Pass (3 days, GA) | ~$365 |
| Accommodation (5–6 nights, Pattaya) | $400–$900 |
| Transport (Bangkok + venue shuttles) | $100–$200 |
| Food & drinks on-site | $100–$200 total (food is cheaper than European festivals) |
| Thailand spending money | $300–$600 |
| Total realistic range | $2,065–$4,065 |
The official hotel packages bundle accommodation, shuttle access, and the Full Madness Pass together. If you want simplicity, the package route makes sense. Independent booking gives you more control over where you stay and usually costs less if you’re flexible on hotel quality.
US citizens get 60 days visa-free on arrival in Thailand. No advance visa application required. Budget about $10 for the airport arrival card and ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates.
General sale is live as of March 7, 2026. This is not a “decide later” situation. Tomorrowland Belgium consistently sells out within hours of general sale. The Thailand edition has the advantage of a debut year (demand hasn’t fully crystallized) but TAT is promoting it heavily across Southeast Asia. Buy before the lineup drops, which will trigger a second wave of demand.
Go to thailand.tomorrowland.com and use a registered Tomorrowland account.
Hotel packages went on sale February 28, 2026, bundling accommodation, shuttles, and a Full Madness Pass. Bronze/silver/gold hotel tiers with 5–6 night stays.
If you want one booking, no logistics hassle, and guaranteed transport: hotel package. If you’ve already bought standalone tickets or want Pattaya’s main beach strip rather than a festival-partnered hotel: book accommodation separately and arrange your own transport.
Book now. Bangkok flights from the US in December can price at $800–$1,200 round trip for economy seats purchased 6+ months out. Fares will spike once the festival generates mainstream coverage. Non-stop options: Los Angeles–Bangkok on Thai Airways or EVA Air. Most other US cities route through Tokyo, Seoul, or Taipei.
December is excellent timing for Southeast Asia. You can pair Tomorrowland with a broader Thailand itinerary — Bangkok (3–4 days), festival weekend in Pattaya, then beach time in Koh Samui or Koh Lanta before the return flight. The Japan cherry blossom guide has a useful framework for building a two-week Asia trip anchored to a single major event.
| When | What |

No DreamVille means no 3-day immersive village. That changes the social texture of the event. At Belgium’s Tomorrowland, a significant part of the experience happens in the camping village between sets — the late-night conversations, the spontaneous performances, the temporary community. You don’t get that in Pattaya.
What you do get: six stages including the full-scale mainstage with the CONSCIENCIA concept, CORE (techno-focused), and FREEDOM (open-air). 50,000 people daily, a mix of Southeast Asian and international crowds, and a lineup that won’t be announced until later in 2026 but will draw from Tomorrowland’s standard international roster.
Thailand’s food infrastructure near the venue will make on-site costs much lower than Europe. A meal at a Thai street stall near the venue is $2–4; the equivalent at Tomorrowland Belgium runs €15–€25. Budget accordingly.
Hydration is non-negotiable. 30°C+ with 50,000 people dancing in an outdoor venue. Fill a refillable bottle before entering — most major festivals allow sealed water or have free refill stations.
Book accommodation near the venue, not Bangkok. Even with official shuttles, the 90-minute Bangkok commute on festival days will eat into your night. Pattaya itself has beach options, shopping, and restaurants that make it a reasonable 5-night base.
The lineup is the unknown. Tomorrowland Thailand hasn’t announced artists yet. Before you commit to the Full Madness Pass versus a single day, watch for the lineup drop — expected late 2026. If a specific artist is the reason you’re going, wait.
Don’t book through third parties. Tomorrowland has explicit warnings about unauthorized resellers. The only legitimate source is thailand.tomorrowland.com.
Probably yes if: You’re already interested in a Southeast Asia trip and want an anchor event with global production scale. Or you’ve done Tomorrowland Belgium and want to see the CONSCIENCIA concept in a different context. Or you’re based in Asia and have been waiting for Tomorrowland to come to you.
Probably no if: You specifically want the DreamVille camping immersion — that’s not here. Or if December travel conflicts with holiday commitments. Or if your priority is a specific artist who hasn’t been confirmed.
If December Thailand doesn’t work but Tomorrowland does: Belgium runs July 17–19 and July 24–26, 2026. The 20th anniversary edition. The music festival bucket list guide has the full breakdown including budget and ticket access for both weekends.
If you want a Southeast Asia music event that’s more accessible: ultra Thailand and similar regional festivals run earlier in the year with lower price points. Different vibe, significantly cheaper.
If the budget doesn’t work but you want the experience framework: the sabbatical year planning guide has a useful method for structuring a long-form trip around multiple anchor events across a year.
Tomorrowland Thailand on December 11–13, 2026 is a first: the festival’s first full-scale Asian edition, at a purpose-built 560-acre venue in Pattaya, with 6 stages and 50,000 daily attendees. The total budget from the US runs $2,500–$4,500 all-in.
Tickets are on sale now. Flights are available. The visa is free on arrival.
If this is the kind of event you’ve been waiting to put on your list, the decision is in front of you — not next year.
